Where do I go to Post?

How to get to your wordpress dashboard.

Your wordpress dashboard will always be at www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin but remember, if you have a web site separate from your blog; your dashboard might be at www.yourdomain.com/blog/wp-admin.

All you need to do is go to your blog and note the completer URL – web address – of your blog, then add /wp-admin to the end of the URL.

Adding Text to an Image

In this example, we want to open an image, then add a text layer to save for the web.

How to Add Links to the Sidebar

Below is a video on how to create a link in wordpress, then display the link in the sidebar of your blog.

The links widget is also known as a blogroll.

This is usually a “container” of links in the sidebar of your blog that point to other sites of interest to your visitors.

You can also create as many categories of links as you would like, to keep your blogroll organized.

How to Link from Within a WordPress Post

The video below will show you how to link from within a wordpress post.

Example – You want to link some text in your post to another website. When your site visitor clicks on the text, it takes them to another site (this is the site that you link to).

To place a link within a page, follow the same process.

How to Post with Pictures using Viva Zoom Plugin

If you have the Viva Zoom plugins installed on your wordpress blog, below is a quick tutorial video that will walk you through the process of posting with pictures.

Keep in mind, I recommend to resize all pictures to 600-800 pixels wide and 72 dpi.

You can upload as many pictures as you want to each post. Every picture you upload to a post will show up in the picture carousel on that post page. Only the pictures “inserted into post” will show up within the body of the post.

Only the first picture uploaded with each post will show up on the home page picture carousel.

When a site visitor clicks on a picture in the home page carousel, they will be taken to the post that contains that picture. (The actual post that picture was uploaded with). They will then see all the other pictures uploaded with that post also. When they click on the pictures for that post, the pictures will zoom to their original size for better viewing. The pictures inserted within the body of the post will also zoom out to original size when clicked on (assuming you follow the correct steps).
